October might just be one of our favorite months in Bexley! Our beautiful Bexley trees are changing colors, Trick or Treat and all that goes with it is next week and it feels like everyone is out and about with the beautiful weather we've been having.

Foundation Updates!

Last week was Daffodil Day at Jeffrey Mansion. The Bexley Bloomers planted 1,000 bulbs along the front entrance, across the street in Commonwealth Park, and around the gazebo at Clifton and Parkview thanks to our Bexley Community Foundation! We can't wait to see them bloom in the Spring!
The last Bexley Farmers' Market of the 2025 season is today, on Dawson, from 4-7pm! We hope to see you there!

Our Annual Gathering is a celebration of the past year’s accomplishments and a look ahead to what’s to come. It’s also a time to honor distinguished community members who are doing great things for Bexley.
Previous Annual Gatherings have featured musical performances, updates on grant awards and announcements of new exciting projects. We hope you will save the date and join us! Sponsorship information will be available soon.

Grant Update: Bexley Celebrations & Events Sponsorship!
We love when our community comes together! The Harvest Fest was a wonderful example of this. Held in the meadow behind Jeffrey Mansion, our Bexley Recreation & Parks Department put on an amazing celebration of all things Fall! Hayrides, magic shows, pumpkin carving, an enchanted walk, music and more!
We provided reusable glow in the dark cups for the water buffalo to make sure everyone was nicely hydrated!

The Bexley Celebrations and Events Fund was established to support the City in presenting annual community events, including the 4th of July Celebration, Main Event, Jazz in the Park, Easter Egg Hunt, Harvest Festival, Halloween Bash, Tree Lighting and Menorah Lighting.
PLANT TREES! And we did. In 2024, 100 new street trees were planted thanks to donors to Trees for Bexley. $40,000 was raised to create a quercetum in the Fair Avenue medians and the work is underway! In 2025, Trees for Bexley will focus on the north side of Clifton Avenue.
The Bexley Beautification Fund conducts two campaigns each year, Trees for Bexley and Bexley in Bloom, and invests in Bexley's urban forest, the physical environment and community beautification. Fund projects have included replacement trees throughout the City to preserve green areas in every Bexley neighborhood, gateways at the entrances to the community, plantings and lighting at Drexel Circle, trees in the Main Street medians, and flower baskets on Main Street and the Broad Street and Clifton Avenue bridges.
