Spring is here and we are enjoying watching the early spring flowers and trees start to bloom! Our Bexley Beautification Fund raises money each year to support many tree plantings and flowers in our beautiful Bexley community!

Project Update - Bexley Memorial Tree Program
|
|
|
The City of Bexley Memorial Tree Program offers residents and community members a meaningful way to honor a loved one, recognize someone special, or leave a lasting legacy in our community.
Through a memorial tree donation, participants help expand and sustain Bexley’s urban arboretum while contributing to the beauty and health of our parks and streetscapes. Trees planted through the program support the City’s ongoing tree-planting efforts and may be accompanied by recognition such as a listing on the City’s memorial tree map or, at certain levels, a commemorative plaque.
If you are interested in dedicating a memorial tree, we invite you to complete Dedication Request form. Once submitted, City staff and the Bexley Community Foundation will coordinate the planting and recognition details as part of the City’s annual fall tree-planting program. Your gift will help grow Bexley’s canopy while creating a living tribute that will be enjoyed by generations to come.

Join us at Jeffrey Mansion for Mahj at the Mansion, a fun event of mahjong, friends, and friendly competition—all in support of the Bexley Community Foundation.
Tables will be arranged by player level so everyone can enjoy the game. Your $50 buy-in includes raffle tickets to get you started. Win your games and earn even more tickets to boost your chances!
Use your raffle tickets to enter drawings for beautiful gift baskets and fun prizes.
Enjoy snacks, light bites, and drinks while you play and mingle.

Grant Update - All Things Earth and Arbor Month!
|
|
Join the City of Bexley in celebrating Earth and Arbor Month all April long (and then some)! The City’s Sustainability Department, Green Bexley, Tree & Public Gardens Commission and Bexley Arboretum, and Rooted in Bexley have put together a slate of programs including a movie screening, author talks, litter pick ups with Mayor Kessler, Repair Café, Green Bexley Cleanup Day, and more!
Thanks to the Bexley Community Foundation and the Bexley Library for their partnership!

Grant Update - Little Free Libraries!
|
|
A Little Free Library allows neighbors to borrow, add or exchange books in a weather- proof box. Four Little Free Lirbaries were installed in 2021 thanks to a grant from the Bexley Beautification Fund of the Bexley Community Foundation!
Friends of the Bexley Public Library does a wonderful job maintaining them as well as others around Bexley. They are in need of volunteers to help fill the Libraries by stopping by the Bexley Public Library to pick up books and then drop them in the Little Free Libraries. A sign up is below with additional information!

Fund the FUN in Bexley! The Bexley Celebrations and Events Fund supports the City in presenting annual community events including the 4th of July celebration, Main Event, Jazz in the Park, Easter Egg Hunt, Harvest Festival, Tree Lighting and Menorah Lighting, Halloween Bash and so much more!
